Synthetic Media Micro Vee Filter: Element Design and Construction The AGS Series of coalescing filters offers the use of a unique high efficiency media. The elements is constructed of multiple layer fiberglass along with other media supported on a carbon steel core. The elements are available with stainless steel internals for more corrosive applications. The drainage of coalesced liquids and protection from entrainment is by an open celled polyurethane foam outer wrap. The multi layer design filter media element has extended surface area and is in two stage construction. It leads to high dirt loading and long efficient service life. The cartridge is designed with an inside diameter that is approximately the same dimension as the inlet and outlet. This unique design allows for a smooth transition of the gas through the housing and elements. The net result is a low pressure drop.
